Nandy described this absence as “an absolute disgrace,” highlighting the importance of such engagements to protect individuals from online harassment.
Addressing media outlets earlier today, Nandy emphasized the need for stronger measures to combat the dissemination of personal information that can endanger lives. She expressed disappointment over the inconsistent policies among social media companies, where some enforce strict content removal protocols while others are less proactive.

Nandy reiterated her commitment to reinforcing legal frameworks to curb the spread of personal information online. She stressed the necessity of immediate action when individuals’ addresses are exposed on social platforms, aiming to safeguard public sector employees and charity volunteers who frequently face digital harassment. “We will tighten up the law,” she declared, reflecting her resolve to ensure online spaces do not become arenas for intimidation.
