Recently, Oasis premiered a documentary at the Venice Film Festival that promises to take fans behind the scenes of their iconic 2025 reunion tour. Noel and Liam Gallagher, the legendary figureheads of this renowned band, appear to have put aside their historical differences. However, the emotional film notably omits key details about the brothers’ notorious hiatus.
In its opening moments, the documentary recounts the band’s stratospheric rise in the 1990s, fueled by chart-toppers like “Wonderwall.” But success bred tension between the Gallagher brothers, culminating in a dramatic dissolution during a 2009 Paris concert. While fans were informed about the cancellation amidst whispers of a backstage altercation, the film sidesteps offering any new insights or details about the fabled split.
The film hints that all old wounds have healed without clarifying how this decade and a half discord resolved. When the focus shifts to preparation for the comeback tour, there’s anticipation in the air. With Noel at the helm, the band begins rehearsals, and Liam arrives with his characteristic moodiness, promptly critiquing some sound equipment. Despite his initial grumpiness, the atmosphere lightens once he begins to sing.

Rumors of another tour leg next year are circulating, making it evident that despite the mysterious air, the band’s allure remains as magnetic as ever.
